Outdoor Tech:
Virtual Class
Our virtual class for kids teaches coding using Arduino. Students will design a plant monitor that measures temperature, humidity, and soil moisture.
Keep what you design
This kit based class means students can expand on their project and add even more sensors or even WIFI connectivity.
Class Objectives
Over the course of two weeks, students will become familiar with:
Simulations using online software
Interfacing with an Arduino Uno microcontroller
Digital vs Analog signals
Analog signal processing using Arduino
Create and house a device to measure humidity, temperature, and soil moisture
Validated Teaching
Method
This class is based off our “Tech in the Garden” day we did alongside Texas Instruments. We’ve revamped the curriculum to make it better than ever!
