Our virtual class for kids teaches coding using Arduino. Students will design a plant monitor that measures temperature, humidity, and soil moisture.

Keep what you design

This kit based class means students can expand on their project and add even more sensors or even WIFI connectivity.

Class Objectives

Over the course of two weeks, students will become familiar with:

  • Simulations using online software

  • Interfacing with an Arduino Uno  microcontroller

  • Digital vs Analog signals 

  • Analog signal processing using Arduino

  • Create and house a device to measure humidity, temperature, and soil moisture

  • Is this class right for my student?

    • This class is best for students who

      • Are able to follow tutorials on their own.

      • Can handle a challenge and communicate problems

      • Typical for middle schoolers and older.

  • Are there live classes?

    • Yes! we will have a combination of synchronous and asynchronous learning for the students.

    • There will be live classes twice a week

    • There will also be assignments daily for the students to work on their project.

    • We will have additional office hours based off the speed of the class.
