HAKing Innovation
Our Mission:
Building Confidence and Competence Using Technology as a Tool
HAKing Innovation is a 501(c)(3) non profit focused on building a community focused around technology by using product design.
Our Mission
Our mission is to build confidence and competence using technology as a tool. It’s the realization that technology can be intimidating when you don’t understand how it work. However, it can be the most empowering feeling to know you can impact your whole community harnessing technology.
Technology is a tool for social and economic freedom.
Our Impact
We are driven by the success stories of our students and teams. Our method of exposing the youth to engineers from all backgrounds and disciplines build a support system of role models and mentors. When you’re inspired and can visualize yourself as an engineer, you understand the importance of school and learning challenging concepts.

Students Exposed to STEM
We want to show youth that there are options of what you can be and the type of work you can be paid to do.
10+
Students hired for their first technical internship
Students at HAKi develop technical skills to become ready for jobs in a future where AI and robots will become the main source of labor.

interns hired to engineering companies
We take pride in our team members becoming engineers (we’re biased)
Our programs help us to fulfill our mission. We focus on having strong programming that we continuously improve to help impact as many people as possible.
In addition, we have multiple opportunities for the community to help volunteer and start up new programs.
Our Programs
Engineering
Our programs teach students the engineering design process. This involves critical thinking, idealization, and continuous improvement. Students also learn about the different types of engineering careers that are options to take their interests and find a top paying job right out of college.
Technology
We love to work with the latest technology. Whether it’s drones, RC cars, 3D printers, or other technology, we teach our students to dive right in.
Science
There probably isn’t a day where we don’t talk about electricity. Everything from conductivity, to resistance is incorporated into our lessons. Students also learn about different material structures when working with our 3D printers or other structure based activities.
Mathematics
Math is at the root of all technology. In order to become a good engineer, you must learn to solve problems. Our students become comfortable with Algebra skills early on when solving for an unknown variable. Over time, we incorporate other math topics like geometry and complex equations.
